As the sanitary situation of Covid-19 kept worsening, a newly launched application Coronalert was looking for an effective and rapid strategy to encourage people to download the app. The client’s objective was to maintain a constant growth in the number of downloads of the app and to reach as many people as possible. 

Our solution

Efluenz worked on an influencer marketing strategy to raise awareness on the app, its functionalities and its usefulness to detect COVID cases and to slow down the spread of the virus. 24 influencers were invited to participate in the campaign and were asked to explain their personal reasons why it’s important for them to download the application and to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

The results

24 posts and 117 stories were published on Instagram between October and December. The results shows that this campaign was a success. The content shared by influencers generated many interactions and covered the whole country thanks to the large variety and carefully selected profiles; influencers from different belgian regions, of different age, ethnicity groups. The posts generated more than 189 K impressions, 17 K likes, 590 comments and reached 166 K users. Almost 22 K actions were taken on these posts. Stories gained more than 247 K views, 292 K impressions and 4095 interactions.

The process

How did we do it?

In order to increase awareness on the app and to encourage people to download it on their smartphone, Efluenz identified the best influencers for this campaign. Influencers were carefully selected taking into account the indicated criteria of the client. Nano, micro and macro influencers in various niches (lifestyle, humour, family, food, sport,…), from different regions (Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders), speaking different languages, of different ages,… were integrated into this campaign.
